Book-ish Ghosts

V is for Villa Estrella

Today, V is free. Is it because V rhymes with free? Perhaps. It’s also because today’s ghost movie is the only entry I could find for V, and I’d never heard of it. Not only that, Villa Estrella is not available on Netflix, and Amazon US has only one copy for sale. So, not exactly a blockbuster you are likely to have heard about.

The storyline is this: Ana’s ex-boyfriend, hoping for a reconciliation, invites her to the resort Villa Estrella. Once there, Ana and her boyfriend meet other guests and are confronted by ghosts who scheme to alter the fate of visitors.

Oh, and all the movie trailers I found are in Tagalog without English subtitles. If you are conversant in Tagalog or are sufficiently techie to know how to add subtitles (apparently it is possible), please enjoy the trailer.

Now for yesterday’s reveal. Congratulations to Tasha for guessing that yesterday’s film was The Uninvited. After reading the reviews, I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I would rather watch the original Korean version A Tale of Two Sisters.
