Book-ish Ghosts
Throughout the April challenge, you get to guess the ghost novel, ghost movie, or ghost beginning with the letter of the day. You can find Book-ish Ghosts contest rules here in the theme reveal.
S is for Sopor
The word sopor means unnatural sleep. Unnatural sleep is what causes all the problems for the protagonist of today’s novel and movie. Let’s get started!
Clue 1: Tom’s sister-in-law hypnotizes him as a party trick, but the entertainment goes awry. Once Tom comes out of his sopor, he begins to see a ghost and visions of a terrible crime. Sleep is never the same for Tom.
Clue 2: This novel was made into a movie starring Kevin Bacon, Kathryn Erbe, and Zachary David Cope.
And now, the R is for Rascal reveal.
The answer to yesterday’s mystery is The Robber Bride by Margaret Atwood.
I didn’t even know The Robber Bride had been made into a movie until I read the comment from Tasha Duncan-Drake. Thanks for that tidbit, Tasha!
Good luck with today’s mystery S is for Sopor. Leave your guess in the comments.
Till next time!

Now this sounds vaguely familiar, but I’m blowed if I can remember it! 🙂

Would it help if I said Kevin Bacon was shirtless for a good section of the movie? I definitely remember that part.
I’m not familiar with this ghostly story. =(
