Welcome to Day 1 of Blogging A to Z!

Book-ish Ghosts

As I mentioned in the theme reveal, you’re going to have to do a little work in this challenge. Well, you don’t actually have to, but why wouldn’t you? Book-ish Ghosts is a guessing game and contest. Throughout the April challenge, you get to guess the ghost novel, ghost movie, or ghost beginning with the letter of the day. Let’s get started, shall we?

Here are your clues:

Clue 1: The setting of this ghost movie is an English boarding school in the Interwar years.

Clue 2: The ending of the film is somewhat ambiguous. (But in a good way.)

So, leave your best guess in the comments. Tomorrow I will reveal the answer to today’s quiz question and give you the clues for Day 2.

Good luck!

Contest Rules

Each day of the challenge I will post a clue or two related to that day’s book, movie, or ghost. Leave a comment with your guess. The following day I will reveal the answer to the previous day’s question. At the end of the A to Z challenge, I will count up correct guesses and award the winners. In the event that more than one person has the identical amount of correct answers, I will put those names in a hat and draw the winning name(s). Must be 18 years of age or older to win.

Prizes

First prize: One winner will receive a $50 Amazon US gift card. (If the first prize winner is a non-US resident, he/she will receive a Moonlight Dancer mug and an ebook.

Second prize: Two winners will receive a Moonlight Dancer mug

Third prize: Three winners will receive a Moonlight Dancer or 31 Ghost Novels to Read Before You Die ebook.

  1. I’m going with The Awakening as well. The 2011 film. It’s the only one I can think of that takes place in a boarding school. I love your theme, if I haven’t already told you that.

    1. Hi Melissa,
You just know I love your theme, too–reading, writing, research. I’m so glad your blog is up and running…and beautiful, too. Thanks for your guess.

  2. Great start to the Challenge. Ambiguous was one of the first words I learned during a primary school spelling challenge. Have a great April.

    1. Nicola,
Ambiguous is a great spelling word. It’s sophisticated but phonetic. Did you win the spelling challenge?

    1. Hi Tasha,
I had to look up the acronym FTW. For the Win is the most pleasant of the interpretations, so I’m jumping on that one! Good luck.

  3. I’m no good at these things because I don’t know much about ghost stories. This will be a fun challenge none the less! I’m a visiting minion with the Joyful Brigade. Have fun!

    1. The Joyful Brigade–love that concept! Thanks for being a visiting minion. I love your theme of Shakesperean insults and compliments.
